What is ToolHex?

ToolHex is an independent project building a collection of free web utilities: an image compressor, text tools, financial calculators, PDF tools and more. Each tool lives on its own subdomain and is designed to do a single job quickly, on any device, without asking anything from you in return.

Why we build tools this way

Most online utilities make you upload your file to a server before anything happens. We think that's the wrong default. Your photos, documents and data are yours — so every ToolHex tool runs 100% inside your web browser, using your own device's processing power. Your files never leave your device. We couldn't see them even if we wanted to.

That design choice comes with benefits you'll notice: tools start instantly with no upload wait, they work on flaky connections, and there are no daily limits, file-size quotas or mandatory accounts.

How the project is funded

ToolHex is free to use. To keep it sustainable, we plan to show unobtrusive advertising on some pages and may add an optional premium tier later. The core tools will remain free. We will never fund the project by collecting or selling your data — the architecture makes that impossible anyway.
